What is the 2+2 plan?
Penn State has twenty undergraduate campuses located throughout the state of Pennsylvania, the largest of which is the University Park campus (more than 45,000 students). More than half of all first-year students at Penn State start at a campus other than University Park, and then finish their degree at University Park or another Penn State campus. This process is called the 2+2 plan.
No additional application is required for you to move to the University Park campus after spending two years at Penn State York. The transition is easy as long as you meet the credit and grade requirements for entrance into your major. Most international students who start at the Penn State York campus move to the University Park campus to finish their degree program.
