Penn State York, Fox43 news, and the American Red Cross ask campus and community members to bleed for a good cause at the annual community blood drive on campus, set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 26 in the Conference Center of the Main Classroom Building.
In a move designed to limit the spread of COVID-19 on Penn State campuses, the union representing about 2,600 technical service employees, has agreed to follow University requirements for mask-wearing, regardless of vaccination status. The agreement goes into effect immediately.
Recognized student organizations may return to holding in-person activities, including meetings, tabling, and other events for the fall semester. Students are expected to follow all current masking requirements on their campus during these activities.
Due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 conditions around the country and in Pennsylvania, effective immediately (Aug. 4), Penn State will require all students, faculty, staff and visitors — including those who are vaccinated and unvaccinated — to wear masks indoors at all campuses. Within the last 24 hours, many counties that are home to Penn State campuses have shifted to “orange” status, warranting an immediate adjustment to the University’s on-campus masking requirement.
Open house offers an opportunity for mature adults, 50 and older, to learn more about the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Penn State York. The event is set for 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 16, in the conference center of the Main Classroom Building at Penn State York.

The new self-guided tour at Penn State York offers visitors an opportunity to get to know more about the campus by scanning QR codes on signs located outside building main entrances. The 11-stop tour features the voices of Penn State York students and will allow tours of campus during off-hours and weekends when in-person tours are not available.
Penn State York current and former baseball players, and players from other campuses, will join the Susquehanna Valley Stars and take on Team Israel in a pre-Olympic game set for July 17 at Cliipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
