Corporate Partners Networking for Students
Graham Fellows Program Candidates who have successfully completed the Business Etiquette session may attend the Corporate Partners Networking for Students. This event is an opportunity for students to engage with the Graham Fellows Program Corporate Partners, put their elevator pitch to practice, and meet potential internship providers and employers. The Corporate Partners can see what students are in the pipeline and who might be able to fill employment needs in the future.
2019
Steve Groff, owner of Wyndridge Farm, shared his journey and his act two in life. He now leads Wyndridge Farm, along with his wife, Julie, and son, Taylor, after leading a successful surgical practice. Celebrate Life is not just a tag line, but a daily reminder for a man whose life could have been much worse, and for one who realizes that life is fragile and that every moment needs to be savored. The Graham Center was able to celebrate life and partnerships with our corporate partners.
2018
Graham Center Candidates are provided personal business cards upon successful completion of the Business Etiquette training session. With the skills they acquired, during the training session, they were prepared to network with our Corporate Partners.
Corporate Partners Dinner
The Graham Center’s Corporate Partners Dinner provided students and campus leadership an opportunity to express gratitude to our Corporate Partners. These dinners were evenings of introductions, interaction, and appreciation.
2017
Ret. Brigadier General Becky Halstead provided levity and resolve in 2017 in her stories of military leadership and her post-military retirement. Halstead was the first female graduate of West Point to become a general officer. She culminated her career as the 34th Chief of Ordnance and Commandant of the U.S. Army Ordnance Center and Schools at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. After her retirement, Halstead joined the Praevius Group, a Virginia-based consulting firm, as Executive Director for Leader Development. She later founded her own consulting firm, Steadfast Leadership.
2016
The 2016 keynote speaker was Edward W. Marx, Executive Vice President of the Advisory Board (Clinovations), on loan to New York City Health and Hospital and Chairman of the Texas Health Services Authority who shared his 14 rules he lives by every day He found that integrating these rules into his daily life resulted in even more of these amazing experiences.
2015
The 2015 event featured Dr. Luke Tilley, chief economist for Wilmington Trust, who provided his economic forecast for 2016.
