Spring Semester 2021: A Focus on STEM Women in Leadership
The panel discussion will take place on the University’s zoom platform and through the process of answering questions posed by students, each panelist will be spotlighted as they share their career journey, roadblocks, and confidence building techniques. See the panelist bio section to learn more about our speakers.
Panel participants will share the title of the book they are reading with their executive team and will schedule and lead a virtual group discussion with students to discuss the book. The CIL will provide the books to participants and coordinate the virtual group discussion.
STEM Women in Leadership Focused Mentoring Program
Hosted by leaders from STEM industries in the region and beyond, with a focus on women mentors, but will also include men from the STEM business community, who have experience with women’s mentorship programs. The program includes a StrengthFinder exercise and a minimum of five sessions throughout the semester.
Entry-level workshops on five key subjects each year, throughout the year, with a focus to prepare students to enter a diverse and ever-changing workforce. Students would need to attend all five programs, over the course of their time at Penn State York, to receive their READY certification – the ground level participation to qualify them to take higher level CIL instruction.
