Raising awareness about child abuse, human trafficking, and sexual assault is the goal of a candlelight vigil and program set for March 4 at Penn State York. The program, at noon, includes a speaker, the Red Sand Project, and a candlelight vigil.
Penn State York moves on in the men's basketball playoff and will host a semifinal games against Penn State Greater Allegheny at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28.
The Penn State York men's basketball team has won 13 games in a row since the beginning of the new semester in January. The team has clinched the top seed in the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) East.

Dancing for those they lost to cancer, and in hope of finding a cure, Paige Barlow, Alvin Chen and Jen Taylor, will represent Penn State York Benefiting THON at the big dance, THON, on Feb. 21-23 at the Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus.
The spoken word poetry of Mwende “FreeQuency” Katwiwa will be featured in a noon-hour presentation on Feb. 27 at Penn State York. The performance will focus on her poetry related to race, and is part of Penn State York's Black History Month celebration.
Nicholas, Kristof, a two-time Pulitzer-prize winner and New York Times columnist, will share his experiences in a presentation at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Penn State York. He will speak on the topic, "Why Students Should Care About the World – and Change It." Kristof has spent his career advocating for human rights.
