Novelist Curdella Forbes will read from her works during a visit to Penn State York on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

A fundraiser game for Gift of Life in honor of Courtney Groft, a Penn State York student-athlete who was killed in a car accident last year, is set for Monday, Sept. 26, in the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center at Penn State York. The game is free and open to the public.

Penn State York golfers took home first place in the Greater Allegheny Invitational on Aug. 28, their first competition of the season.

Penn State York will celebrate Constitution Day with a trivia contest on Monday, Sept. 19.

Soccer season begins at noon Saturday, Sept. 10, when Penn State York takes on Lehigh Carbon Community College in a nonconference home game. Games are free and open to the public.

Penn State York is set to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a variety of celebrations designed to recognize the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.

Penn State York's women's volleyball team takes to the court for their season opener on Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. again Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. Games are free and open to the public.

Penn State LaunchBoxes from throughout Pennsylvania will join together this fall to offer free online "Grow with Google" sessions through GoTo Meeting. Sessions run from September through December.
