Penn State Day Open House set for Oct. 14 at Penn State York

Take a tour of the campus and see the newly renovated student center, meet faculty, staff, and students, and learn what Penn State York has to offer during the Penn State Day Open House from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at the campus. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center). The open house is free and open to the public.  Registration is preferred.

Learn about Penn State York’s programs, from the first two years of more than 160 baccalaureate majors to the 10 baccalaureate degrees, including the three newest degrees, a bachelor of arts and bachelor of science in psychology and a bachelor of science in science, which can be completed without leaving York.  The campus also offers five associate degrees, a master of education in teaching and curriculum, and a variety of credit certificates. There are degrees and programs for students of all ages, and many services available to encourage success.  Penn State York is a military-friendly campus and veterans can use their benefits to earn a Penn State degree.

Guests attending the open house have an opportunity to talk with a faculty member and discover more about specific Penn State majors, as well as learn about student financial aid and what it is like to be a Penn State student. Information is also available on the variety of credit and noncredit programs and services offered to adults employed in business and industry though continuing education.

The open house schedule includes an academic resource fair where visitors can gather materials about majors and special programs, such as the unique Graham Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies (The Graham Center), offered only at the York campus. In addition, Penn State York offers an honors program for students with outstanding academic abilities, and undergraduate research opportunities for students with an interest in hands-on experience in research. There’s a lot happening at Penn State York.
