Penn State York's 2017 Summer Technology Institute in 2017 featured Aly Kenee. The 2018 institute, set for July 9-13, features Amy M. Rehmeyer and Marcellus Taylor, who will discuss teacher leadership. Registration is still open for this three-credit graduate course.

Penn State York adds golf to its athletic programs

Fore! Do you play golf, and are you interested in participating in a collegiate sport? Penn State York has announced its new collegiate golf team, open to men and women, set to begin in August 2018. Adding golf to Penn State York’s athletic programs brings the total number of collegiate sports teams to seven.

Heather Kreiser, returning to Penn State York to receive a master's degree in professional studies in homeland security, takes a quick selfie with the Nittany Lion prior to the commencement ceremony May 4.  Kreiser earned a bachelor of science degree in human development and family studies at York in 2014, and returned to the campus she loves to receive her master's degree.

Ready for some science fiction? Noel Sloboda, associate professor of English at Penn State York, is teaching a science fiction course beginning May 14. This six-week class explores the literature of technological innovation and social change — its development, themes and problems.

Lauren Clemens is graduating with a bachelor of science in business (BSB) from Penn State York.  Clemens took advantage of the accelerated BSB, and was able to complete her degree more quickly by taking classes in a variety of formats while working full-time.  Penn State provides a variety of ways for students to earn a degree.

In 1996, an original rock musical by a little-known composer opened on Broadway… and forever changed the landscape of American theatre. Two decades later, Jonathan Larson’s “RENT” continues to speak loudly and defiantly to audiences across generations and all over the world. The 20th Anniversary Tour of “Rent” takes to the stage at the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) at Penn State York on May 26 at 7:30 p.m.

Summer SAT prep course set for July 30 to Aug. 2 at Penn State York

Penn State York is offering a four-day Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) preparation course, Monday-Thursday, July 30-Aug. 2. The course is from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. each day in room 204 of the Main Classroom Building on campus.
