Four adult students have earned the honor of being inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda Chapter at Penn State York. The honor society recognizes the outstanding achievements of adult students.
The Big Ten Academic Alliance's Academic Leadership Program will include six new Fellows from Penn State in 2019-20. The program focuses on addressing the challenges of academic administration at major research universities. More than 200 seventh grade girls will explore all things STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) during the 23rd annual Pathways to Your Future: Exploring STEAM Careers program on Friday, May 10 at Penn State York. The program offers 30 workshops, and is free.
Penn State University Libraries awarded its Undergraduate Research Award: Excellence in Information Literacy to students at nearly all undergraduate Penn State campuses in April, honoring 97 undergraduate students as well as eight graduate students participating in their respective campus-wide research exhibition events.
Jessica Popp gained a love of research during her pursuit of a degree in human development and family studies at Penn State York. Popp will reach her goal as she graduates during Penn State York's 49th commencement at 6 p.m. on May 3.
For the second time, Joan Smeltzer, assistant teaching professor of mathematics at Penn State York, has been honored with the Teresa Cohen Mathematics Service Award.
