Robots set for action on Jan. 20 at Penn State York

Middle and high school students from across the state will head to Penn State York on Saturday, Jan. 20, for the First Tech Challenge (FTC) Nittany Lion Qualifier robotics competition. Opening ceremonies are at 11 a.m. in the gym of the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center on campus.

Penn State York team presented work on needs for fathers at national conference

Penn State York human development and family studies (HDFS) students Lydia Jones and Devin Taylor and alumnus Charissa Strode presented research at the National Council on Family Relations conference in Orlando, Florida. Their faculty adviser, Sonia Molloy, associate professor of HDFS, accompanied them on the trip and presented research of her own, emphasizing the opportunities that can come with undergraduate research.

Commencement regalia has special meaning for Penn State York student

For Logan Kline, graduating on Friday, Dec. 15, at Penn State York, the academic regalia he will wear has special meaning. Kline will wear his tassel for the class of 2023, but his other commencement attire is all in honor of his father, who will be in attendance when his son graduates with his bachelor's degree in biology.

Penn State LaunchBoxes accepting applications for 2024 Idea TestLab

Applications are being accepted now through Jan. 23, 2024​, for the Idea TestLab, a free, four-week, virtual accelerator designed to help entrepreneurs determine the viability of their business idea.
