In honor of Black History Month, an African Dance and Drum Workshop is being presented by the Dwennimmen African Dance Community at Penn State York. Participants will have the opportunity to learn dance techniques and discover the drums and instruments of the culture. The workshop is free and open to the public.

Penn State York seeks advising award nominations

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2023-24 Penn State York Academic Advising Award. Students may submit nominations for the award, which is presented at the Academic Awards Program in April. The deadline for submissions is March 22.

2024 President's Concert set for March 23 at Penn State York's Pullo Center

The Penn State Alumni Association will continue its long-standing partnership with the College of Arts and Architecture to host the 2024 President’s Concert. The concert will feature talented students from the School of Music and is set for Saturday, March 23, at the Pullo Center in York. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m., with a reception preceding the performance at 6 p.m.

Members of the Penn State York Benefiting THON group, left to right, Logan Optiz, Bryce Thoman, and Ashlyn Smith, paint the giant letter K, the last letter in the word York, to take to the Penn State Dance Marathon.  The York group will hold the letters high during the dance marathon to let people know what the campus is represented at the big event.

Both dancers consider it a privilege to dance.
