Penn State’s Commonwealth Campuses and the state’s community colleges have announced a new collaboration aimed at expanding educational opportunities in Pennsylvania and removing barriers to degree completion among college students. The collaboration builds upon long-standing relationships between the campuses and the community colleges and a shared commitment to access and affordability in higher education.
Penn State York English alumnus, Keith Karnish, found his academic footing through mentorship and engaging coursework. He grew from a struggling high school student to a professional screenwriter through working hard and finding support from English faculty at Penn State York.
Penn State York offers to six-week summer sessions, with session one beginning May 13 and session two June 26. Registration is open for summer and students are encouraged to register early to get the courses they need.
Penn State York is offering two six-week summer sessions and registration is open. The first summer session begins Monday, May 13, and continues through Friday, June 21. The second session begins on Wednesday, June 26, and continues through Wednesday, Aug. 7.
Jayda Simmons, a Penn State York student and volleyball player, was a contestant in the half-court shot competition at the Penn State York vs. Penn State Scranton game on Tuesday, Feb. 20, where she won a 65-inch television.
Penn State York Benefiting THON traveled to State College to participate in THON Weekend, Feb. 16-18 at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, Pennsylvania. Some former York THON members, now students in State College, came out to support the group.
Penn State York students broke the campus' fundraising record for THON. The group traveled to the Bryce Jordan Center to take part in THON Weekend 2024, Feb. 16-18, and supported dancers and celebrated the yearlong fundraising event in support of children and their families battling pediatric cancer.
