SHRM-CP™ and SHRM-SCP™ – About the Program
As an approved education partner with SHRM, Penn State instructors combine expert instruction with the 2019 SHRM Learning System to offer a comprehensive and effective way to prepare for success on the SHRM-CP™ or SHRM-SCP™ exam. Students will:

Eligibility Requirements
The SHRM-CP™ and SHRM-SCP™ certifications are built upon the SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge (BoCK™), which is more than an exam outline. It defines the standards for knowledge, strategies and competencies required for effective HR professionals around the world. Eight behavioral competencies and fifteen functional areas that every HR professional should know are included in this intense review.
To be eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP™ and SHRM-SCP™ exams, you must meet specific educational and work experience criteria at the time you submit your application. For details on SHRM exam eligibility requirements, visit shrmcertification.org/eligibility.

E. Joy McFerren, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Senior HR Business Leader
McFerren is a strategic HR business leader with experience in medical devices, manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceutical and hospitality industries. She possesses leadership, business acumen, creativity and concern for people. Her expertise in providing full-service HR support including organizational development, employee relations, and guidance to site management teams and collaborative management style makes her an effective change agent in a variety of structures. She has a proven ability to establish strong partnership with management teams to build environments with high performance standards and high value on human capital. McFerren teaches the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP review course using the SHRM Learning System and online resources in a caring and competent manner.

Times: 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Delivery: Zoom Classroom Meeting (remote learning)
Cost: $1,600 (includes required textbook)
