Robots on a playing field.

Robots of all kinds driven by middle and high school students are set to take to the playing field Jan. 21 and 22.  The weekend of matches features 30 teams in the South-Central Pennsylvania Qualifier on Saturday and 24 teams in the Blue and White Qualifier on Sunday.

The gym in the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center at Penn state York will be transformed into a robotics competition area when 54 teams of middle and high school students compete on Jan. 21 and 22 at Penn State York.  The competition is free for those who want to attend and cheer on their favorite robot and team.

Dwennimmen African Dance Community will perform on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) at Penn State York.  The performance is free and open to the public with no tickets needed to attend.

Robert Farrell's "RNA Methodologies" has been in circulation since 1993, with six editions and counting. His book has been utilized in several academic curriculums across the world, even having been translated into Mandarin Chinese following the release of the fourth edition. The translated version of his book is pictured on the center of the table. Farrell is the director of academic affairs and a professor of biology at Penn State York.
