Celebrating children and their rights is something that the Community Relations Council (CFR) Club at Penn State York takes very seriously. The celebration from 4 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 17 in the Conference Center is free and open to the public.

Making the holiday season a little brighter for children is something the Student Veterans of America (SVA), York County Chapter, enjoys doing. Once again, they have joined forces with the First Capital Marine Corps League for a Toys for Tots drive. The collection of new, unopened, and unwrapped toys continues through Dec. 9 on campus.

New, unopened, and unwrapped toys will be collected through Dec. 9. The toys, for children ages newborn through 12 years old, will be distributed to less fortunate children in the community through the First Capital Marine Corps League Toys for Tots program.
Veterans from all branches of the United States Military held a giant American Flag on the field at Beaver Stadium during the playing of The Star Spangled Banner prior to the game between the Nittany LIons and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Penn State earned their seventh win of the 2016 season defeating Iowa 41-14.
