Baseball season is almost here, and the Penn State York baseball team is headed to Florida during spring break for spring training, the perfect opportunity for players to focus on improving their baseball skills while gaining game experience prior to the start of the season.
Penn State York will host the 34th annual York County Science and Engineering Fair from March 6-8 in the Conference Center of the Main Classroom Building. About 200 projects will be judged during the event. Projects are open for public view from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on March 8.
Penn State York Benefiting THON took part in THON 2017, Feb. 17–19 at the Bryce Jordan Center, and raised $16,625.29. The THON total, combining all fundraising efforts from throughout the University, was $10,045,478.44. The funds raised by THON are used to cover the treatment costs for pediatric cancer patients as well as support cancer research.
When Magdalen Matthews, a communication arts and sciences major at Penn State York, returned from the alternative spring break trip to the Bahamas last year, she was determined to seek more international service opportunities for students to put their spring break to good use.
Penn State's premier, all-male a cappella group, The Statesmen, will take to the stage at Penn State York’s Pullo Family Performing Arts Center at 3 p.m. April 2. Ranging from pop to rhythm and blues, to classic Penn State songs, the Statesmen are Penn State proud.

Networking is the key when it comes to finding a job that ultimately leads to a career. Penn State York students and alumni who graduated in the past five years have the opportunity to network with business professionals, many of whom are Penn State alumni, in a variety of career fields, during the annual career networking event March 30.
It’s never too early to think about summer classes at Penn State York, as registration is underway now. Two six-week sessions offer students the opportunity to take day, evening or online classes. Some classes may also combine online with face-to-face instruction.
Don’t be an April fool — plan to attend the Penn State York Spring Open House, set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 1 at the campus. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center.
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Penn State York has received a $6,000 grant from the York County Community Foundation’s Hahn Home Fund for Embracing Aging to support its Founders’ Lecture. The program, set for May 3 at Penn State York, features Ashton Applewhite, author of “This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism.”
