The 2023 Invent Penn State Venture & IP Conference gathered more than 400 attendees, including 63 startups, 40 investors and 16 sponsors, working together to drive the efforts of entrepreneurs, researchers and others into the next phase of their businesses.
Mary Richardson, a senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Penn State York, participated in the Student Startup Showcase at the Invent Penn State Venture & IP Conference. Her company, Bindr, is an all-inclusive dating app that provides a safe online space for bisexual individuals.
Interim Senior Vice President for Research Andrew Read hosted a fireside chat with recently appointed College of Medicine Dean Dr. Karen Kim at the 2023 Invent Penn State Venture & IP Conference, held in Hershey. Recently tenured and promoted faculty across the University were honored Oct. 2 through Penn State's 2023 Promotion and Tenure Recognition Program. Each newly tenured or promoted faculty member was asked to select a book title for the University Libraries’ permanent collection, which will be affixed with a bookplate recognizing the faculty member’s achievement.
