Penn State York is once again planning a day of service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Last year, students, faculty and staff assembled hygiene kits for the YWCA of York. This year, at noon on Jan. 18, the campus community is set to put together 250 kits for children who are patients at the Penn State Health Children’s Hospital in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Mary Dizor, a Penn State York student, is the first-place winner in the visual arts category of the Penn State York Literary Competition for her piece, "Brushes," which is set to be the cover art for "Another Other Word," 12th edition.
Posters are being displayed throughout the campus highlighting the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr. during the month of January. The poster series is sponsored by the Penn State York DEIB Committee.

Silas Chamberlin reviews materials for Outdoor Economy, a business idea that has become a reality and a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization thanks in part to the Idea TestLab. Chamberlin won the top prize in the 2023 competition and took advantage of the resources provided through the business accelerator. Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 Idea TestLab.
