Central Penn Sporting Clays in Wellsville, Pennsylvania, is the site of the tenth annual clay shoot set for Thursday, April 26.  This annual event benefits the athletic programs at Penn State York, and last year it raised more than $20,000.

Tickets are on sale now for Penn State York Benefiting THON’s "Paw Search," which is set for 7 p.m. Jan. 12 in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center on campus. Proceeds from the talent show go to the campus THON committee's effort to raise money to find a cure for pediatric cancer through THON, the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon.

Auditions are open to members of the campus community and the general public.

Auditions for Penn State York Benefiting THON’s annual Paw Search, a family-friendly talent and variety show, are set for 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, and 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, in the Community Room, Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center, at the campus.

Cancer survivor gives back through poker tournament

Jimmy Clark, 24, understands what it is like to fight for his life. A cancer survivor, Clark will host the eighth annual Poker with Jimmy, a No Limit Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament, on Nov. 5. The tournament has raised more than $65,000 over the past seven years for THON and the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Children’s Hospital for children battling pediatric cancer.
