Summer Institutes
Each summer Penn State York offers two graduate level summer institutes.
Each institute is offered as a three-credit graduate level course in a weeklong format. The courses are designed to provide participants with the most recent information on research and best practices in current topics of education.
2018 Summer Institutes
June 18–22, 2018 – Beyond Foundational Literacy: Teaching in the New Media Age
July 9–13, 2018 – Heart of Teaching: Instructional Practices for Teacher Leaders
Registration
Step One
For returning students:
- Complete the resume study at gradschool.psu.edu/prospective-students/how-to-apply
- Once you have your nine digit Penn State identification number, proceed to step two.
For new students (nondegree):
- Apply as a nondegree student at gradschool.psu.edu/prospective-students/how-to-apply (there is a $30 registration fee)
- Once completed, it takes approximately 36 hours to process, proceed to step two
For current students:
- Proceed to step two
Step Two
- Go to launch.lionpath.psu.edu
- Select graduate students and scroll to the yellow LogIn button
- Log in using your nine digit PSU Id
- Complete all TO DO LIST and any HOLDS – Includes the preregistration activity guide and the financial agreement which must be completed every semester (takes 24–36 hours to process)
Step Three
- Register for the class in your student center on LionPath
