Auditions for Paw Search

Auditions for Penn State York Benefiting THON's Paw Search are set for 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, in the rehearsal room of the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center on campus. Proceeds from the event, set for Jan. 20, 2017, will benefit THON.

York Toys for Tots 2016

Hundreds of toys collected at Penn State York

Snoopy, dinosaurs, Ninja Turtles, Barbies, aircraft, and a variety of stuffed animals were gathered at Penn State York during the Toys for Tots campaign sponsored by the Student Veterans of America (SVA), York Chapter at the campus. Hundreds of new, unopened, and unwrapped toys were collected through Dec. 9, and then turned over to the First Capital Marine Corps League Toys for Tots program.

Penn State York's Late-night Breakfast with a country theme was a huge event in May. This semester the event is being held on Monday, Dec. 12, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., and the theme is '90s cartoons and Disney. Late-night Breakfast offers students a break from studying and an opportunity to enjoy free food, socialize, and connect with faculty and staff.

The Clark Family

Cancer survivor gives back through poker tournament

For the seventh consecutive year, Jimmy Clark, 23, of Red Lion, Pennsylvania will hold Poker with Jimmy, a No Limit Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament on Sunday, Nov. 13. The tournament has raised about $60,000, over the past six years, for THON and the Four Diamonds Fund (through THON) at the Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital for children battling pediatric cancer.
