The weather outside might be frightful but students at Penn State York will be enjoying Late-night Breakfast inside with a theme of Winter Wonderland from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at Rosie’s in the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center.

In spring 2017, Penn State York's Penn Players took to the stage for two short one-act plays, “SELFIE” and “AFTERMATH.” Their fall performance of “The Complete History of America (abridged),”  is set for Dec. 5 and 6 in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) on campus.  The performances, at 6 p.m., are free and open to the public.

Learn more about the Mexican Day of the Dead and decorate a sugar skull on Tuesday, Oct. 31, when Penn State York offers a look at this holiday celebration. There will be plenty of colorful paint and a variety of other items to decorate a sugar skull from noon to 1 p.m. in the community room of the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center.

Anthony Ward to share his story and artistry Oct. 12 at Penn State York

Penn State York’s free cultural series continues with Anthony Ward at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) on campus. Ward is a gay improvisational floral sculptor and dancer. His performance is free and open to the public. No tickets are needed.

Free Hugs Project comes to Penn State York Aug. 28

Ken E. Nwadike, peace activist and creator of the Free Hugs Project, kicks-off Penn State York’s free cultural series on Monday, Aug. 28, in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) on campus. Nwadike will spend the afternoon interacting with students, and the day concludes with his performance at 7 p.m., which explores how to overcome the differences that divide us.

Ken W. Nwadike Jr., peace activist and creator of the Free Hugs Project, will visit Penn State York on Monday, Aug. 28.  Following the afternoon of interacting with students, Nwadike will take to the stage of the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) at 7 p.m. to share his message. This performance is free and open to the public.

Penn State York will once again host a free drive-in movie night in the parking lot behind the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center on campus. "Despicable Me 3," a family-friendly movie, begins at 7:30 p.m., and "Baby Driver," for mature audiences, is set for 9:30 p.m. The drive-in movie event is sponsored by the University Programming Board at Penn State York.
