Penn State York’s free cultural series continues with Anthony Ward at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) on campus. Ward is a gay improvisational floral sculptor and dancer. His performance is free and open to the public. No tickets are needed.

“Despicable Me 3,” a family-friendly film featuring those lovable Minions, and “Baby Driver,” a movie for mature audiences, are the featured films for the drive-in movie night at Penn State York, set for 7:30 p.m. Sept. 8. Movie-lovers can park in the lower parking lot area behind the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Penn State York will once again host a free drive-in movie night in the parking lot behind the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center on campus. "Despicable Me 3," a family-friendly movie, begins at 7:30 p.m., and "Baby Driver," for mature audiences, is set for 9:30 p.m. The drive-in movie event is sponsored by the University Programming Board at Penn State York.

Nordic Dancers of Washington, D.C., to perform at Penn State York on Aug. 19

Discover the dances of the Nordic region when the Nordic Dancers of Washington, D.C., take to the stage for a free performance at the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center at Penn State York. The group is set to perform at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19. The event free and open to the public. This is the 2017-18 kickoff event for Teaching International at Penn State York.

The Statesmen, Penn State's premier all-male a capella group will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 2, in Penn State York's Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center).  Tickets are just $10, and are on sale now.  Following the performance, there is an ice cream social sponsored by the Penn State Alumni Association, York County Chapter.

Poetry, spoken word, singing, instrumental performances and more will all be part of Open Mic Night on Feb. 27, at Penn State York. The event, set for 7 to 9 p.m. in the Community Room of the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center, is sponsored by the Penn State York Black Student Union and the Diversity Committee.

Carla Christopher, a local poet and former poet laureate of York, will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 27 as part of Open Mic Night at Penn State York. Students will share poetry, spoken word, sing, and play musical instruments as part of the evening. The event is sponsored by the Penn State York Black Student Union and the Diversity Committee.
