Franco Harris, former Penn State Nittany Lion football player, Steeler Super bowl champ, and Pro Football Hall of Famer, is headed to the area to take part in Penn State York’s ninth annual clay shoot event with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20. The event takes place at Central Penn Sporting Clays (CPSC) in Wellsville, Pennsylvania.

Penn State York Benefiting THON took part in THON 2017, Feb. 17–19 at the Bryce Jordan Center, and raised $16,625.29. The THON total, combining all fundraising efforts from throughout the University, was $10,045,478.44. The funds raised by THON are used to cover the treatment costs for pediatric cancer patients as well as support cancer research.
Jake Rivers, a student from York College of Pennsylvania, took second place with his unique performance of the Michael Jackson song, "Billie Jean," on the cello, at Penn State York's "Paw Search" on Jan. 20.
