The Penn Players will take to the stage at 6 p.m. April 18 and 19 with "The 9 Worst Breakups of All Time" at Penn State York's Pullo Family Performing Arts Center. The performances are free and open to the public. Last semester, the group staged "The Complete History of America (Abridged)."
YORK, Pa. — The Penn Players will present the one-act farce “The 9 Worst Breakups of All Time,” by Ian McWethy, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, and Thursday, April 19, in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) at Penn State York. The performances are free and open to the public, and tickets are not required.
In this play, audience members will discover that maybe a breakup they had was not so bad. Eve Tonsil, an employee of the nonprofit company "Relationships for a Better Tomorrow" takes the audience on a tour of the nine worst breakups of all time, from the Cro-Magnon Era to the Civil War, to a smattering of modern-day breakups. This is a comedy that proves that no matter how hard someone has stomped on your heart ... it could always be worse.
