The integration will lead to improved access to specialty care – close to home – for people in Lancaster, Dauphin and York counties. Ribbon-cutting signals the partnership and successful first year of Penn State York's innovation hub funded by Invent Penn State. Standing in front of an image of the building that houses Working Class, a makerspace in downtown York, Penn State President Eric Barron cuts a ribbon to celebrate the launch of the partnership with Penn State York.
Whitney Brown started her Penn State story at Penn State York, and took advantage of the 2 + 2 program. She graduated in May 2017 with a bachelor of science in science with the legal studies, government service, and public policy option. She also earned a minor in African American Studies.
Penn State York students involved in the Startup Challenge had the opportunity to participate in a Design Thinking Training workshop as part of their preparation for the competition.
